Carl: Development of boys, Denise feeding the baby, desicion making for his family, God's will to be done, Him to submit to God as head of his life

We were going in the Bible to verses:
Acts 15:1-11

My Notes:
What are Pharisees today? Someone who adds stuff to the scriptures that wasn't there to begin with.
When you are telling the story of salvation don't leave any parts out.
You can't question some one else's salvation because only Jesus knows the heart. You can look at the their fruit. If they claim to be a christian, but don't know where Matthew is.............something might be wrong. If they are walking with Jesus you will see a reflection of Jesus. If they have all the trimmings, but the Holy Spirit keep talking to you about it. The Holy Spirit won't bring it to you attention without a good reason.
Only God can make a completely clean heart. How often do you need your heart cleaned? As often as you mess it up. God is looking for a broken and contrite heart. He will break you so that you will believe He is the God of heaven and earth. You have to crucify your flesh daily.
How valuable is your salvation? God said no other Gods before Him. Whenever you do something He says don't do..........Whatever you did is another god to you.

Mrs. Elsie: Temptation, Her daughter n law Cindy to be healed and her family to come to know Christ

Aunt Crissy: Lady's growth on her ear, Direction for LaDonna, Donald, and Karen, Donald to get a day job, Their home, husband's guidance, to be the wife that he needs, Charlene and EJ's relationship with God, Settlement for CC and Jenna, Sam to find a home

Denzel: to make the right desicions,

Mr. Don: The last week before the wedding go smoothly, Grinnie, Aaron, and Julie, Noble and people like him to be able to make it in this country

Paige: Wedding and everyone to know Jesus was glorified

Uncle Charles: Funds ASC test, Mom and Dad's health, to see what God sees in him and to remove what is not of God

Maria: Young men and women of this church, to be able to tell friends when their not doing right.

LaDonna: to care less about what people think about her and to only care about what God thinks, boldness

My Notes:
Endure until God responds. If you can't win the battle with little things how do you expect to win on the stuff that really matters. When the thought comes about something in life. When do you go to God about it? Before or after you have acted on the thought? God can restore you so well from your messed up past. No one will be able to tell what you used to be.
No matter what the people in control do...........God is in control of it all. He knows what we need before we even ask. If you are willing to please God. God is willing to please you.
How do you learn to endure temptation? You need a spirit of self-control. God always provides an escape to temptation, but we have the choice to take the escape. Even if you don't like what Jesus has to say get it on the record that you asked.

My Notes:
Paul and Barnabas were physically very fit.
How are you gonna draw closer to the Word of God if your not reading it? Do you know God?
To get to know somebody you have to spend time with that person. Prayer and fasting make you more sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Have you accomplished what God is calling you to do. How do you know when your not in God's will? There is not the same sort of peace as the was when you were in God's will.
True men and women of God have boldness and power.

My Notes: There are 3 kinds of Christians:
The first one is the double-minded christian. This kind of christian needs an enabler. He is very unstable. Anyone who helps a double-minded person is not helping that person in the long run. What makes an enabler? What is an enabler

An enabler has something they are addicted to somthing. They need the double-minded person as just as much as the double-minded person needs them.

My Notes:
Paul was beaten 5 times with the "39 lashes minus one". Was it right for Paul to be beaten? No, he was Roman. What was the Jew's preferred form of execution? Stoning. You establish grace while going through a trial by humbling yourself and letting God take control. Let it go....You are no longer in charge. Put the troubles to the side and be sure God will take care of you. You have to do that or you will be a worried wreck. Do you believe Jesus can do all the things?????
That He can fix all of your problems? If you believe that act on it.

Church 3/15/09

Title: All who are saved don't walk with Jesus

We are going in the Bible to verses:
Genesis 17:1

Is Jesus Lord of you life or do you hold that position? Have you surrendered all? What is the difference of walking with Jesus and believing in Jesus? When you pray the prayer of salvation, you are saved by belief in Jesus Christ and what He did. By walking with Jesus, you become perfect and free.

Are you selfish? Here are some selfish acts: Adultery, Gluttony, Strong Drink, Laziness, Drinking on a consistent basis, Smoking, Masturbation, Vanity, Gambling, all of these are selfish acts.
All of these things can and will cost you severely in the long run. Walking with Jesus will change your mindset. When you walk with God and spend time with Him. You can't act the way you used to. He will become your passion. You can walk with God and still have those problems, but keep trying to walk with God. Eventually, those acts will come to hurt you as much as they hurt Him.

My Notes:
Have you gone into your personal bank of memories and deleted those memories that hurt you? Some people will just hold on to certain memories and go back and think about. Which in the long run only hurts that person. Whoever hurt you has most likely forgotten all bout it. Plus holding on the that memory might mean you haven't totally forgiven whoever hurt you.

Fear is all in the mind. It is a mental warfare. How many of you have experienced Holy Ghost power? You have to wait for power to come. When you wait and let God do whatever it is that you are trying to do..............there is more power than if you spent a lifetime of years trying to reach your goals. When you wait on God's timing He is with you the whole entire time. When power from God goes to work. God makes it evident that His presence is with you. It takes power to live a Godly life and have a Godly attitude. Wives need power to submit to their husbands, and husbands need power to love their wives as Christ loves the church. To make a marriage work you need power. You need power to receive criticism so you can better yourself.
When God steps in nothing can hold whatever His plan is. A sound mind is a mind that is anchored in the Word of God.
