Bible Study 6 24 09 PRAYER REQUEST
Ainsley . Allergies and to feel better
Aunt Geri. Stay in the Word. not to let her circumstances direct her attitude.

Uncle Charles . Strength for his mom and dad his marriage. the finances. Unsaved
family members God to conttinue to draw them. Coworkers and their
thoughts of who God is
Denzel. His back. His mom's skin. Tynesha
NeeNee. Tynesha that she won't have to keep getting beat up and
surrender to God. God to make the nesseacery changes in Denzels heart
And her heart. The families of the people who died in the crash. Rose.

job next week. Our Paster. Malcom's salvation. The new little boy in

If your not holding on to anything you won't feel depressed when it
leaves or is taken. Get the place where Satan can't use anything
against you. He is waiting for your relationship with God. We got to get to
the place of Job "though he slay me yet will I trust him". God said if you
seek Him and his righteousness He will take care of you. God doesn't need
your help to plan your future. He knows what His plans are for your life. Do
you believe that God knows, why u seek Him? If it's a form or a new way of
life.

A believer can always me sure that the trouble they are in will
eventually end. Only one person will get into your way when your trying
to do what the Lord say. It's Satan. You have to know who is on the Lord's side and those who
aren't have to be put behind you. If you plan to stay with God for the long haul
prepare for all to be bombarded.

My Notes:
The Word must become the greatest thing in your life. Greater than your
heartbeat. As long as you stay in the Word you have power. Learn to trust
God completely. God wants us to have that childlike faith. Kids
normally aren't worried about what they are gonna eat or wear. Why can't
we search the scriptures night and day? The distractions of life hold
you back and or you don't want to. Distarctions are going to come they
have the objective to entangle you and keep you in bondage. When you let
diatractions get in the way your relationship with God is losing. When
your walking in the Word and disciplining yourself. When you feel full and
know you can last the day. An idol is a demon that uses something to
draw you. A statue. a human. a object. food ect.... Any thing that takes more time
than should be alloted is pulling you away from God. If what you have a
passion in begans to cause you to fall. Satan is always watching us
seeing what you do wrong and making note of it. That's why you have to
have a repentent spirit. What are your idols? Are you in control of the
time you spend with your passions? Have you come to the point in your life
where God comes first and everything else is dumb?

school and her walk. Covering over her, Damon, and Tanya. Angel and her

DD: To see her dad. Step dad to stop smoking amd drinking
Darnell: His dreamgirl.
Uncle Charles: Marriage. kid. mom and dads strength and health. Family to step up

Janell: Her high place. self examination of the youth. Holy Spirit

But thoughts can turn into actions and actions can be sin which will
get you into trouble. Easy choices should make us check out the right
choice usally has some hardship involved. What we put in our mind
affects our language and actions. If you have to be around that kinda
talk you need to cleanse your mind daily. Otherwise it will sit in your
mind and fester. And one day when your stressd out you might slip up and
do what's in your mind. Thoughts are spiritual. Ask God to focus your mind on
what's good and pure. It take practice to keep asking God to control
your mind.

My notes: Love for Christ will make you want to do what He says.
Holding back on tithe is done when people worry about the unknown. The
unknown will have you think that you don't wanna give all that to God. God wants you to trust him with everything. He has told you over and over again that he will take care of you. When
stuff isn't going the way it should you should be able to tell God how
He told you that He would never leave or forsake you. First thing in
common sense is to trust the Lord. When you learn how He does it He will
take care of you beyond your wildest dreams. In order to follow the
father's advice there has to be a advicement rolemodel for him to
follow after. You have to obey the statutes you want
that kid to live by. Are the teachings your father gives you precious to you?
When you don't have the Word in you and you think your aright be sure that you
are not. The word cleanses you. Even when I don't think it necessary get
in the word or all the crap that slowly leaks into in your mind will
just stay there. Remember, all sin starts with a thought

My notes: Your consience is the device that God has given you to keep you
alined with God. As long as you are not alined with God your going to have
conflict. If you spend time with someone who is out of alinement with God
they might pull you away from your time with God. When your conscience is
clear you don't care who knows all your past deeds. If you don't have the
mind of Christ you are not equiped to do what he needs you to do. We need to get so locked up in God that you can do whatever He wants you to do
without fear. In everything you do is your conscience right? I need to get to the point where my
consience is always right. When you have God's peace you are a rock nothing
anyone says can shake you. God has called the saints to be fruit
expectors. Christians are supposed to produce fruit. You have to be
complete examine the Word of God because sometimes you might not want to do
what God wants you to do. Do you know where your stand is with god. Do you consider yourself teachable material?

My Notes: The cup is the trail before the crown that you will get after you successfully complete the trail. If you are in the Word daily you have to stand on it. You can only go to Christ if God draws you. You can't just be a worshiper of God. There has to be belief as well. Demons know who you are and if you really belong to Christ. When you get into the Word a new mindset will start to replace the one you previously had. The stuff you were fine with doing is no longer ok. There is life in the Word and when you get into the Word you find new life. You will learn to control yourself and your urges. The reason the devil fights you so much about getting in the Word...........is because he knows that once you get into the Word on a daily basis. He will start to loose his control over you. The Word will break up anything the Devil throws at you. The reason you have so many problems is because your not in the Word. You crucify your mind when you get in the Word. Satan knows how much of the Bible is hidden in your heart. Only the Word of God can get the stuff out of your heart that you put there. When you read the Word, God moves in and the Word becomes flesh in you.

My Notes: You need peace to carry on. A stretch is when you are on emotional roller coaster. You have the ultimate say what to do with those emotions. You can trust God and let Him do what He will. Or you can curse God and die. You have the final say. Are you gonna trust God or yourself?
When Paul and Silas left. They left with the blessings of the priest and continued to speak the gospel. Barnabas and Johnmark just left.
When you have been wrongly accused count it all joy that you were considered worthy to take that hit.

Tell God you have nothing so He can fill you up with Himself. Do you ever think about grieving the Holy Spirit? What causes the Holy Spirit to be grieved? When you won't change and let sins or grudges go. One of the greatest challenges is to change. Nobody is perfect, but you should know when you have messed up or when you're not right. Walk in the spirit and you won't carry out desires of the flesh. You know you have the power of the Holy Spirit when you overcome stuff that you never would have been able to overcome by yourself.

What are Pharisees today? Someone who adds stuff to the scriptures that wasn't there to begin with.
When you are telling the story of salvation don't leave any parts out.
You can't question some one else's salvation because only Jesus knows the heart. You can look at the their fruit. If they claim to be a christian, but don't know where Matthew is.............something might be wrong. If they are walking with Jesus you will see a reflection of Jesus. If they have all the trimmings, but the Holy Spirit keep talking to you about it. The Holy Spirit won't bring it to you attention without a good reason.
Only God can make a completely clean heart. How often do you need your heart cleaned? As often as you mess it up. God is looking for a broken and contrite heart. He will break you so that you will believe He is the God of heaven and earth. You have to crucify your flesh daily.
How valuable is your salvation? God said no other Gods before Him. Whenever you do something He says don't do..........Whatever you did is another god to you.

Are you selfish? Here are some selfish acts: Adultery, Gluttony, Strong Drink, Laziness, Drinking on a consistent basis, Smoking, Masturbation, Vanity, Gambling, all of these are selfish acts.
All of these things can and will cost you severely in the long run. Walking with Jesus will change your mindset. When you walk with God and spend time with Him. You can't act the way you used to. He will become your passion. You can walk with God and still have those problems, but keep trying to walk with God. Eventually, those acts will come to hurt you as much as they hurt Him.

On Wednesday March 4, 2009 (can you believe it's March already, only 7 months till the ocean, help us Lord) we will continue our study in the book of Acts chapter 14 verses 1-10. Our assignment next week, along with the answering of our questions is to know the difference between figurative, literal, and symbolic language. Friends, check out Amplified Bible's version of 2 Timothy 2: 15 it says Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. How are you doing with that?

Fear is lack of trust in God, but there will be times when you are fearful. Don't quit just because your scared. Satan is hoping you will quit. Fear will cause you to be hindered and doubt God.
Satan is the father of lies. Fear is a lie that will trap you so badly that you can't move.
You have to test all spirits. Fear is a spirit that lies to you. Things we don't want to do are generally things God wants us to do. Do you have more power than fear? It is the inheritance of every believer to have power in every area.
God is a spirit. To worship him you need to worship him in spirit and truth.
God doesn't lie, but He will use whatever He needs to bring you back into alinement.
What is double minded? Are you double minded? When you have a sound mind you have peace. You keep a sound mind by being in the Word. If someone mistreats you................you need to let it go. If you hold on to it you hurt your self more than the person that mistreated you. The only way to have a sound mind is to have a mind of Christ.

My Notes
God didn't charge me or hold me back for all the stuff I have done that I shouldn't have done. He forgave me and forgot about it. I still have to deal with the consequences, but I'm forgiven. You will never be able to carry the open or hidden sin in you life. It will always come back to on you. You may be able to hold on for a little while, but the guilt will eventually wear you down. Don't wait to long to repent. God's grace and mercy does run out.

Let's paise the Lord together saints for the increased interest in the study of God's word, for what could possibly be more important? Please be reminded that although our host will not arrive until about 8:00 pm, we will start at our regularly scheduled time of 7:30 pm to begin our presentation of the Judges. How exciting!!! Consider having a pen and paper available to take notes. Think about it, the study of the Word is more important than any exam or test we will ever take, so let's come prepared.

Why did God choose the Jews? Cause He is God and He can do whatever He wants to. :)
Even though we are rude and rebellious and unthankful. God still puts up with us. Don't think the mercy will last. You can not conquer anything with sin in your life. Remove the sin and gain freedom.
What kind of father was Jesse to leave his youngest son in the field taking care of sheep. When he knew that a priest was coming to anoint one of his sons to be the future kings of Israel. Apparently , he didn't expect David to be the one God was planning to use. God will always use the one you least expect Him to.
John the Baptist didn't know that Jesus was the Son of God.
Act 13:26 shows that the Word of God has been sent to every one not just one specific nation.

If it were just you and God hanging out. And you were talking..................how would God say your relationship with Him is doing. Are you relatives, family, friends, BFF, acquaintances, BFFL..............
What is the status of your relationship with God?
Do you make time in your day to spend time with Him?
Is He the first thing in your life? The second? Somewhere on your list of things to do???
God does so much for us. Keeping us safe, letting stuff work out, protecting us from stuff we didn't even know about. The least we can do is spend time with Him and say thank you.
God shows His love to us so many different times in His word. We know He loves us more than anyone else. Then why is it sooooooooooooo hard to fit Him into our daily lives. Do you treat God the way He deserves?
It shows you love God when you show love for everybody else. How can you love God who you have never seen, but you can't stand the people around you. You can't draw nearer to God if you don't love Him.
Can you truly say your trusting in God and still worry about what's happening in your daily life? Just thank God for what He does and don't worry about the rest.

My Notes:
When the Word won't grow in a person God can't use them. Do you put Jesus in your life first? Do you just fit Him in when you can? Sometimes you have to ask God why you are not including Him in your life like you should.
If you aren't getting joy out of reading the Word, don't ignore it. Ask God what He is trying to tell you. If nothing happens He might want to see if you will still meet with Him every single day. Even if there isn't as much joy as you would like there to be.
How do you know if the Holy Spirit is using you? Speak back to all the demons the beset you. Don't let yourself be taken over by fear or any other thing. Why didn't Paul want anything to do with John Mark? The service to the Lord is nothing to be taken lightly. At times you will have to leave your family to follow Christ. Can you tell the difference from when you spend time with God and when you don't?

We were going in the Bible to verses:
Acts 12:15-25
My Notes:
How are you going to be strong in the Lord if you don't spend time with Him?
Are you as a christian still growing?
Where is our faith in God to deliver us from whatever is in our lives at that moment? He said seek Him 1st not seek Him 2nd.
What I got from this passage of scripture was, it made me think of how we are supposed to have the faith of little kids. When a little kid asks for something. They don't think it won't happen. They trust with all of their hearts that it will happen just like you said it would. If you say that a FAT OLD guy can climb UP and DOWN all the chimneys of ALL the good lil boys and girls in the world, in ONE night and leave each child a buttload of gifts................they would believe you. They would not doubt your word. So why do we? I mean God is perfect. He has never broken His word to anyone. He's loving, caring, fair, and He's always there. Why can't we trust Him?
If you're not right with God go find out why. Don't just leave it there and hope it goes away. Let yourself be cleansed.

What is or was your making ground? Ya know when life is hell on earth and you don't have any choice but to turn God. Cause you can't do squat on your own. When your weak, powerless, clueless, and have no idea what you should be doing. You make up your mind to draw closer to God. To get that relationship people have been encouraging you to develop from the start. You can choose to flip or you can trust God and give Him your problems. He knows what needs to be removed for us to draw closer to Him. :)
Sometimes people get envious if you have a strong walk with God and they don't
Never be alone when there is temptation near you.
Joseph was in his making ground. Being abandoned by his brothers, being sold as a slave, being lied on and accused of stuff he didn't do, being thrown in jail. All that was his making ground.
God was with Him through it all. Joseph grew in favor with Potipher, the jail keeper, and the king. Eventually Joseph became the 2nd most powerful man in Egypt.
God's timing is always perfect. Be willing to wait on God. Whatever place God has you in, ask Him how you can grow in favor with those around you. When God is making you stay wherever He has you at and don't leave until He says.

Bible Study 1/14/09

My Notes:
Study to show your self approved. The new church brought about change. When you know someone is in bondage. Do you pray for them all the time?
We are weak without prayer. *note* Mom's 60 minute challenge
Will your prayer break chains?
You need an urge, a yearning, and a deep want to pray. Along with a strong belief that God will answer. The reason people do not pray is because they do not realize the power that comes with prayer. Pride could be the reason people do not pray. You think you can do whatever you are doing by yourself without any help. It's when you are in trouble that you start praying. Shouldn't you get to know God now when you aren't all stressed out over something you can not handle. Pride will also make you slow to repent when you have done something wrong. Which will hold you back from a prayer life with God. A secret will keep you in chains for years.
Do you have a peace where you can be totally stressed up and worried about your life, but still go to sleep knowing God will handle it all?
Do we live like our hearts are free? Like our chains are gone? Are you quick to follow God whenever He calls???????or do you want Him to map it out for you first?
Do you sit still waiting till He calls? God will bring what you need right to you. Have you seen what God does to make you totally open and honest with Him?
You have to have a prayer life. Prayer is a mighty thing. Do you even believe prayer is a weapon to be used against the physical and spiritual enemy? Think about it

Title: Are you complete?

My Notes:
You will always have problems when you follow your way instead of God's. You can be the idol, your children can be an idol, your spouse can be an idol, food can be an idol, an idol is anything you hold above or before God. Make the Word your life. Have you come to the point where you let nothing come between you and God. Make a commitment to meet with Him. Never let Him think that you have for gotten everything He did for you or brought you from. Are you praying for each other?(Hebrews 13:18-22) Are you confident that your conscience is good? If you're walking in integrity the devil can't trap you. Only God can remove your past and make you feel good about yourself. When you step out and do what you want to your telling God you don't need Him anymore. The blood will clense you. Are you busy or are you sitting at the feet of Jesus soaking in His every word, letting nothing distract you. Are you complete? When you are complete good works follow to the end. What's working in you that's well pleasing in God's sight? God's eyes are everywhere looking over the good and the bad. (2nd Timothy 3:5)(Titus 1:16) People say they are of Christ, but their works don't measure up. Study the real thing not a counterfeit. There is evidence in the Word of God. You can't go forward without God. God Bless

My Notes:
(Hebrews 12:1) Thank God for waking you up each morning. When your not walking with God you are powerless. We do things we don't do normally do (short temper, stupid decisions, misjudging people) when we don't have the Word of God in us. The sins you had in 2008..............were they carried into 2009?
How can you love God and yet know nothing about Him?
Why don't we set aside time for the Word, but will set aside time for everything else you want to do?
Why don't we have to pray for an increased love for food, electronics or TV, but we pray for an increase in our prayer life, time spent in the Word, or a love for Jesus?
Why don't we set aside time for the Word?
I guess there are a ton of reason or excuses. It could be we don't want to. Or that when you read the Word it will reflect the true you. And you don't want to see what you really look like to Christ.
(Proverbs 17:3)When a trial starts is the first thing you should think is that the trial is to try you. To see how far you can be pushed. Will you lean closer to God or back away? Everyone is not selected to have a trial.

(1st Peter 4:12-17) If you get close to Jesus you will have trials. How many of you have been rejoicing in your trials? The reason He says to rejoice in your trials because you are being paired up with Jesus. Think of all the trials Jesus went through. You are being thought worthy enough to be tried. You need to be crucified daily. Dead people are not sensitive. If you draw close to God He will draw close to you. *Note* You draw close to God first not the other way around.
Satan will send anyone He can to make you feel like nothing. People shouldn't be able to get through your battle lines of defense.
You need to be someone God can rest on and feel at peace. Sometimes God Has to help you move stuff thats blocking Him out of your life.
(2nd Timothy 3:12) When someone hurts you have to forgive them and when you see that said person act like nothing ever happened. God will take care of the person. When you plot revenge, you show that you don't trust God to keep His promise.
There will come a time that if you judge someone for their sin you will have to repent. You ain't important. If Christ is living in you. You are dead and it's Christ that there. Not you :) Your are a clear glass box that Christ shines through.
If you are suffering as a Christian don't be ashamed, but glorify God through it all. Sometimes God needs you to stand through your troubles. To get to someone else who is watching you struggle through your trial. If you try to skip out on your trial. He will find someone else to do what He needed you to do, But you will miss out.

Church 12/28/08

My Notes:
There is only one way to make it through life..... Praying every single day. There are many vain christians today. Once Christ has been formed in you. When people look at you they should be seeing Christ. You would be like a little glass house for Christ to shine through. If you were that you would be very abnormal due to the fact everybody wants to be their own person. Do you dare to be UNcommon? When everyone else is doing something and says it's ok. You do something else.
I dare you to spend more time with God. Why is it we don't want to be uncommon?
Is it because we want don't want to stand out when we are supposed to be the light?? Light stands out. If you are the light you should be noticeable. Everyone has come clean about what they are except the Christians. The homosexuals, the pregnant chicks, witches, all things people used to keep quiet are now brought in the open. Why are the Christian still in the closet and why won't we come out................................cause that would be uncommon. :)
