Bible Study questions

Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST,

On Wednesday March 4, 2009 (can you believe it's March already, only 7 months till the ocean, help us Lord) we will continue our study in the book of Acts chapter 14 verses 1-10. Our assignment next week, along with the answering of our questions is to know the difference between figurative, literal, and symbolic language. Friends, check out Amplified Bible's version of 2 Timothy 2: 15 it says Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. How are you doing with that?

Highlights from our upcoming verses are:

A great multitude believed
A division in the city
A fleeing takes place
A man has the faith to be made whole

Our Hostess Wednesday will be our own Ainsley and she has prepared questions for us to help us focus.

1. How many miles was it from Antioch to Iconium? How many miles was it from Iconium to Lystra? How many miles was it from Lystra to Derbe? (you're gonna need a map)
2. What do miracles prove?
3. Where was the city of Iconium located in Biblical times and where is it located now?
4. How did faith come to the crippled man and where does faith come from?
5. Name at least two attempts Paul had on his life?
6. What well-known disciple lived in Lystra? *hint* He has two New Testament books named after him?
7. How many books did Paul write?

Christ left His home in Glory
Came to re-write my story
See I was lost in sin y'all
but his blood covered it all
